Croatia is a land of wonders. Mediterranean country, known about its more than 1000 amazing islands is a travel deep in to the culture, architecture and history of the middle Europe and the Balkans. Influence of Venice, Ottoman Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire and others created a mixture of impacts in the towns and villages all around the country.

The divine nature, with pearls such as Krka National Park, Plitvice, Velebit mountains and Istrian peninsula are among the most beautiful ones in Europe. Town of Dubrovnik does not need any extra presentation, it is enough that it was among the most desired places to visit in the last couple of years.

The 10 day workshop will take you to the most famous places and spots that Croatia has to offer and will be a combination of Landscape, Cityscape and Travel photography. Combined with some good seafood and wine, it can be a perfect destination for everyone.

Stradun in Dubrovnik

Day 1:

Our meeting point and start of our workshop will be in the center of Game of Thrones town - Dubrovnik. We will have a short briefing in the hotel and will take the evening session of Dubrovnik town. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 2:

We will spend the early morning in Dubrovnik, exploring the old town and the streets of the charming and famous city to spot hidden pearls of the town. In the afternoon, we will walk on the city walls to capture city from the other perspective. The sunset session will be somewhere above the city and we will have a nice traditional dinner in the nearby local restaurant. Overnight in Dubrovnik

Split in the evening

Day 3:

Early morning on one of the locations around Dubrovnik. Return to accommodation and breakfast. Today we leave the town and start to drive towards the north. On our way, we stop in the charming little town of Ston, where Croatian Great Wall is build. We walk around and hike above the town to get a nice view of the region. In the late afternoon, we proceed towards the second biggest city in Croatia - Split. After checking in, we walk through the old town and photograph the sunset and blue hour. Overnight in Split.

Day 4:

Early morning on the Marjan hill for the sunrise photo of Split old town. After breakfast we take the ferry to the island of Hvar, one of the many beautiful islands of Croatia. Hvar is one of the longest and historically more important islands in Croatia and in the recent years become one of the main attractions mainly because of the clear sea and good food. The old town of Hvar is mostly pedestrian and has a nice main square with beautiful church and marina. After arrival to Hvar town, we check in to our hotel and have some time at leasure. In the late afternoon, we hike up to the fortress above the town of the view and we photograph the blue hour in the city center. Overnight in Hvar.

Day 5:

After breakfast, we return to Split and depart towards Zadar. On our way we stop on the viewpoint of the beautiful peninsula town of Primošten and proceed to Zadar. Zadar is the center of the northern Dalmatian region. The old town with the chapel from the byzantium period and has remarkable cathedral in Roman forum in the middle of the town. Narrow streets in the restaurant corner are always bustling and live and people love to meet near the sea organs, where the waves make sound in the artistic construction under the city. Alfred Hitchcock used to say that Zadar has the most beautiful sunset in the world. Overnight in Zadar.

Visovac, Krka NP

Day 6:

After breakfast we will depart towards Krka National Park where we will walk around the main part of the park. In Krka, there is a big presence of melted limestone from the area, which deposit on different plants and through time forms flowstone rocks and cascades. Green surroundings and wooden path make the hike even more pleasant and in hot summer, the place under the main waterfall is also available for a swim. Our focus will be to capture some nice long exposure shots of the waterfalls.  After visiting the park, we will have a transfer to Plitvice lakes National Park. Overnight in Plitvice.

Day 7:

Sunrise session in one of the spots above Plitvice lakes. After session return to accommodation and breakfast. After breakfast we will spend the day in the National park, where we will walk near many different cascades and waterfalls, and will be able to photograph thousands and thousands of different motives. The main area of the park is in the upper part where we can find a nice viewpoint over the main waterfall called "Veliki Prštavac" and amphiteathre of waterfalls on Korana river. Late afternoon and golden light session in one of the viewpoints for the sunset. Dinner. Overnight in Plitvice.

Kamenjak, Istria

Day 8:

Possible morning sunrise session in one of the spots above Plitvice lakes. After session, breakfast and check out from accommodation. Transfer towards Pula, Istria. On the way, we stop in Opatija, an Austro-Hungarian riviera town, which from some angles could be called Croatian Monte Carlo. Afternoon arrival to Pula and photo walk through the city. Evening drive to the nearby National Park Kamenjak for some wild seacoast photography session. Overnight in Pula.

Rovinj at sunset

Day 9:

After breakfast we will explore the small villages of Istria on our way to the pearl of Adriatic sea - the town of Rovinj. We will photograph the villages of Hum, Motovun and Oprtalj and visit the landscape sites of Kotli and waterfall Zarečki krov.  In the afternoon, we will arrive in the town of Rovinj. After check in in the old town, we will walk around the town, have a coffee on the main square and photograph the town from the different angles.  Sunset session at one of the points around the old town of Rovinj. Overnight in Rovinj.

Zagreb main theatre

Day 10:

After breakfast long transfer to Zagreb. Arrival and check in. Evaluation of photographs. Late afternoon stroll through the old town of Zagreb and visiting spots like Ilica street, Ban Jelaćić square, upper town and cathedral. Sunset session at the observation deck above the main square. Official end of the tour.
